SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK FOR DESIGNATED WORKERS

Goal
This course is intended primarily for employees of small and medium enterprises to perform security functions and hygiene at work, of basic level, fulfilling the current legal requirements.

Targets
Workers or their representatives, employers or employees designated by him and others who perform functions in the area of Health and Safety at Work.

Overall Objectives
Enable participants to exercise basic functions of Health and Safety at Work as Designated Worker according to the directives of the ACT and legislation in force.

Specific Objectives

  • Identify the concepts used in risk prevention professionals and the supporting legislation.
  • Use tools that allow to perform basic level prevention functions, namely basic risk assessments.
  • Handling the basic documentation, which is used in the company, related to the risk Prevention (accidents reporting, safety manuals, results of evaluations, etc.).
  • Identify and apply basic emergency techniques and first aid.
  • Identify the different organisms that can turn for information and assistance concerning Safety, Hygiene and Health at Work, etc;

Skills to Develop

  • Act preventively in safety and health at work in the company.

  1. Presentation
  2. Basic concepts of Hygiene, Safety and Health at Work:
    1. Introduction to prevention of occupational hazards;
    2. Basic legal framework for the prevention of occupational hazards.
  3. General risks and their prevention:
    1. Risks related to security conditions;
    2. Risks related to the working environment;
    3. Workload, fatigue and job dissatisfaction;
    4. Elementary systems of risk control;
    5. Collective and individual protection;
    6. Basic notions of action in emergencies and evacuation;
    7. First aid;
    8. Health Monitoring of workers.
  4. Basic elements of the Occupational Risk Prevention Management:
    1. Management of prevention of occupational risks for the company;
    2. Public services related to Safety and Health at Work.
  5. Evaluation of the action

Certificate
Training Certificate in accordance with SIGO.

Methodology
Essentially demonstrative and active method with sporadic use of the lecture method.

Evaluation
Assessment test of multiple answers knowledge.
